What Is Decontamination Procedures Course?
The Decontamination Procedures course is an interactive online training program designed to help facilities comply with OSHA’s HAZWOPER regulation (29 CFR 1910.120).
The course helps employees understand how to reduce or eliminate potential exposure to hazardous materials in their work environments. It covers why OSHA requires workers exposed to hazardous materials to be decontaminated, the tools and equipment used during the decontamination process, why chemical incident sites are separated into zones, and how to perform decontamination procedures in detail.
Areas covered include work practices, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, the exclusion zone, the contamination reduction zone, the contamination reduction corridor, decontamination equipment and solutions, and decontamination procedures.
The course uses a combination of audio, full-motion video, text, and colorful graphics. It is provided in partnership with MARCOM, a top-rated safety and compliance training content provider.
