This 40 Hour Hazwoper Training Course is developed for, and should be taken by those who could be exposed to hazardous materials at the workplace. There are many different forms of workplace HazMat exposure, but some include clean-up operations, the disposal, treatment, or storage of hazardous substances, emergency response, or operations involving hazardous wastes at facilities. This training, which is taken entirely online, has been built to adhere specifically to the OSHA Hazwoper standard 29 CFR 1910.120, and is regularly reviewed for optimum content quality and accuracy.
Along with any Hazwoper 40 Hour training, OSHA asks (per 29 CFR 1910.120 (e)(3)(i)) that an employee also receive 3 days of work site specific training from their company, under the guidance of an experienced supervisor. Every workplace is different, and brings with it it’s own unique hazards and personal protective equipment requirements. That’s why it is a good idea, and why OSHA has the requirement, that, in addition to this training, you thoroughly cover the specific hazards that are present in the job site you will be working on, with the employer or supervisor at that worksite.
If you don’t need to take the full 40 Hour course, please check out our 24 Hour Course. If you have already taken the 40 Hour training, and need to take your annual refresher, we offer an 8 Hour Hazwoper Annual Refresher Course.
We also now offer EM 385 40 Hour Training pursuant to the US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 manual.
