- Scaffolding Competent Person Training. You are on the competent-person-level scaffolding course. Choose it for workers assigned to inspect scaffolds, supervise erection or dismantling, and recognize hazards tied to scaffold operations.

Why Scaffolding Inspection Training Matters
Scaffold inspection training matters because Subpart L ties shift inspections and scaffold changes to competent-person duties.
- Inspections happen before work. 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3) calls for competent-person inspection before each work shift and after events that affect scaffold structure.
- Scaffold changes need direction. 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(7) places erection, moving, dismantling and alteration under competent-person supervision and direction.
- Hazards change by scaffold type. The course covers scaffold types, access, load capacity, fall hazards, falling objects and electrical hazards, so the learner sees the main scaffold risk areas.
