Crystalline silica safety training is an important part of ensuring compliance with the recently updated OSHA standard for silica safety in the workplace, 29 CFR 1926.1153.
Crystalline Silica is a common mineral that is found in many workplace materials such as sand, stone, concrete, brick, and mortar. When workers cut, grind, drill, or crush this material, dust particles in the air can be inhaled, potentially causing lung cancer, silicosis (and incurable and sometimes deadly lung disease), as well as other debilitating respiratory diseases.
This training course will cover the OSHA standard to help ensure the student understands what is required, and how to safely work around this dangerous material. The training is built from the 1926.1153 OSHA standard for silica safety and will indicate so on the student’s certificate of completion. Your certificate is downloadable as soon as you complete the course.
