The course teaches workers how to recognize stairway and ladder hazards and work safely on and around them in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart X (Stairways and Ladders, Sections 1926.1050 through 1926.1060). It is delivered through eTraining, an online safety training provider.

Training covers the various types of ladders (stepladders, extension ladders, fixed ladders, portable ladders), ladder components and weight ratings, stairway safety requirements for construction sites, common ladder and stairway hazards, safe use and setup procedures, inspection and maintenance requirements, the role of the competent person in ladder and stairway safety, and OSHA training requirements under 29 CFR 1926.1060.
